Capsular Tension Ring With Scleral Fixation Arm
This is a modified CTR which has an additional fixation eyelet that allows it to be sutured to the scleral wall without piercing the capsular bag. This ring is used in cases where a standard CTR may not provide adequate centration and stability.
- Cases with extreme zonular weakness
- Cases with missing zonules larger than 4 clock hours
- Lens Subluxation
- It is used to stabilize and recenter the capsular bag
- Specially designed for scleral fixation with sutures through eyelets in a cataract surgery
- The eyelet is projecting anteriorly which allows it to sit outside the capsular bag
- A double eyelet design is also available for cases which require additional support
